"We both know there is no place to go but somewhere else, to dream of the being and not the becoming, to keep moving under the stars..."

Hello, my name is Faren.

I'm from wild Florida where it rains more than it shines. I'm a poet, photographer, passionately brown girl, nose-in-book kind of reader, lover of words & the earth.

I'm finding my place as a writer & 21st century poet, defying the conventions of my skin color and the effects of crowd & chaos that infringe on internal peace. I hope to maybe leave behind a few words that'll make people think and love and cry (crying is most important). I'm also obsessed with my name and its all-too relevant meaning (see below).

................................................................

Faren {FARE-en}

noun

ORIGIN Celtic (Gaelic) Farran from Farachan, meaning "Descendant of Farachan", also Afghan Farrah, meaning "Glorified", also Irish surname,

Meaning "One who wanders (wanders, but is not lost)"

................................................................

I'm sure you're a wandering soul, like me. There are so many wild & wonderful things in this world, it justifies running around trying to love them all.

Thanks for wandering over to my blog, I hope you'll stay for a bit. You're beautiful.
