My favorite words this week reminded me that sometimes the only way to cope with an impasse is to turn numb, cold, and quiet, until it passes. This old song by The Cranberries is a good anthem for the dawn of October. The winds are changing, something's coming, can you feel it? It's like the end of the world, an apathetic apocalypse, but better.
"... Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And if violence causes the silence
Who are we mistaking
But you see it's not me
It's not my family
In your head in your head
They are fighting
With their tanks and their bombs
And their bombs and their guns
In your head in your head they are crying
In your head
In your head
Zombie zombie zombie ei ei
What's in your head
In your head.
Zombie, zombie, zombie..."
